Forest Grants
All Forest Grants Are On Hold…
…while we try to raise money to save the forest.
The Forest Quarterly Grant
A grant of at least £300 is available for amazing, creative, longer term projects at the forest.
In short - we want creative geniuses to come here and make creativity happen. We will provide a grant to help you achieve this.
The grant will be awarded every quarter to the proposal that best meets the following requirements:
The project must take place within the forest itself.
It must take place over a few days or more - for example over a long weekend, a week, two weeks etc. (It is not available for one-off performances, no matter how good you might be.)
The project must be creative and/or artistic in nature.
There will be 4 projects a year. The money will be awarded to different people each time. One project will take place in the following periods:
- January to March
- April to June
- July to September
- October to December
Interested? Application is by email only. Please write to the following address: grants@theforest.org.uk.
Tell us who you are, what you do and what you’ve done in the past.
Provide links etc if possible.
Tell us when you want to do your project and on what possible dates.
Tell us in as much detail as you can what it is you wish to do.
Tell us what you need to the money for and what it will be spent on.
Here are some ideas that might fit the bill:
- A series of workshops
- A three day weekend of performances
- An installation using the forest as a whole
- A film
- A series of theatre performances
Your idea might be completely different - that is good. We want to hear it.
We can provide:
- A grant of £300, or more
- A stage, PA, projector, equipment, promotion and people
- Other support, links and info to help make it happen
What can’t be done:
- We can’t charge entry and you can’t ask for donations. That’s all.
Apart from that there are no boundaries.
